1 We believe that ALL scripture is the inspired Word of
God, therefore the Bible in its original is without error and
that it is historically true. As such, it is the supreme
authority for both life and conduct.
2 We believe in the unity of the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit in the Godhead, that these three are one God,
having the same nature and perfections and are worthy
of the same worship and honour.
3 We believe that man was created in the image of God,
but that through Adam, he became dead in sin and
therefore subject to God’s condemnation. As a result, all
are born into the world suffering from the depravity of
human nature, without divine life and in separation from
God
4 We believe that, as purposed by God and preannounced
by the Old Testament prophets, the eternal Son of God
came into this world that He might manifest God to man,
fulfil prophecy and become the Redeemer of a lost world.
To this end, He was born of a virgin, received a human
body and a sinless human nature remaining sinless
throughout His life, also retaining His absolute deity being
at the same time God and man. We believe that in His
love for a lost humanity, He gave His life as a sacrifice for
sin and took away the sin of the world by paying the
penalty which the righteousness of God demanded, the
just for the unjust, and by His death He became Saviour
of the lost. We believe that He rose from the dead in the
same body, though glorified, in which He had lived and
died, and that this Resurrection Body is the pattern of
that body which will ultimately be given to every believer.
We believe that on departing this earth He was accepted
by the Father where He sits at the right hand of God
interceding for the saved, assuring the completion of His
redemptive work. As such, He is Head of the Church of
which is His Body.
5 We believe that because of the universal sin of man, no
one can enter the Kingdom of God, and be free from the
guilt and power of sin by his own life or works, but only
through the work of Christ. Only the shedding of His
blood was sufficient to accomplish our redemption, and
His saving grace is received by faith in Christ alone. Once
born again a believer is eternally secure and kept not by
his own works but by the power of God.
6 We believe that when an unregenerate person exercises
faith in Christ; he passes out of spiritual death
immediately into spiritual life, from the old creation into
the new. Being justified from all things, accepted before
Father as Christ His Son is accepted, loved as Christ is
loved. The believer is ever linked to Him and one with
Him for ever. All believers are complete in Christ and
blessed with all spiritual blessings.
7 We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity,
dwells in every believer, and by whom the finished work
of Christ is made effective in the lives of all believers and
by whom they are united to Christ in one body. He is the
source of all power and all acceptable worship, teaching
and service, never leaving the church, but ever present to
testify of Christ. He is at present restraining evil in the
world, convicting the world of sin, righteousness and
judgement. Regenerating all who believe in Christ,
indwelling them, anointing them and keeping them until
the day of redemption. We believe that the Baptism of
the Holy Spirit is usually a separate experience from
conversion. That the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifested
today include the speaking of tongues, the interpretation
of tongues, of prophecy, of healing, of wisdom, and
knowledge, the discerning of spirits, miracles and faith.
That every believer is a priest and that all believers must,
therefore, be free to minister whatever God may give
them
8 We believe that sanctification which is being set apart, is
already complete for every saved person because of his
position in Christ; being one with Christ, the believer is
set apart unto God. That there is a progressive
sanctification which comes about in the daily life of a
believer who “grows in grace” when prepared to allow
the Holy Spirit to work unhindered in his daily life. We
believe that we are called with a holy calling to walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit and so to live in the
power of the Holy Spirit.
9 We believe that all who are united to the risen Christ are
members of the one, holy church which is the body of
Christ world-wide. That by the same Spirit all believers
are baptised into that one body that is Christ’s whether
Jew or Gentile, being members one of another, it being
our duty to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace, loving one another with a pure heart as Christ
loved us.
10 We believe that the enabling gifts for service are
bestowed by the Spirit on all who are saved, and each is
called to his own divinely appointed service as the Spirit
wills. We believe that it is the duty of every believer to
bear witness to all and to act as Ambassadors for Christ.
11 We believe that water baptism and the Communion
(breaking of bread) are command by the Lord Jesus for
all believers.
12 We believe in a pre-tribulation, pre-millennial rapture of
the church, as the “Bride of Christ”, to be united with
Christ in a glorified body, and in the subsequent personal
return of the Lord Jesus Christ, at His second coming,
that He will appear in person for all to see, to reign on
the earth with power and great glory.
13 We believe that one day future, the great and small; all
shall be gathered before the “Great White Throne” of
Almighty God for judgement. The books will be opened
and anyone whose name is not written in the “Book of
Life” will be thrown into the eternal lake of fire.
